Psalms 46:10
10 Be still, and know that I am God;
In this world it is easy to be stressed out. It can be all from work, circumstances, family, bad report when it comes to sickness or even when it comes to know our identity.
As a believer in a mighty God, we should not give into this stress, but the reality is that we are not so much different from people in this world. We still let this things get to us and even control us.
And you are not alone, and sometimes I ask why?
We have an answer that this world dose not have, and a hope and a power that are beyond our circumstances. So why do we worry? Often it is actually because we feel we not please God enough, so he might not hear our prayers. And that brings us back to identity too.
The truth is or soul can be still and know that He truly is God.

To be still dose not mean that we should not do anything, but before we do our say anything our minds needs to be focused on the peace and the promises of God. It’s need to be focused on who God is and to know him, and even know who you are, these are connected.
Many people are stressed out because they don’t know who they are. They believe they are the actions they do and the thoughts that have. But that’s not who you truly are. God did not create you for bad, but for good.
If you constantly are afraid you are not good enough for God, you will not have peace, and again you will not be able to love him. It is difficult to get to know someone that constantly reject or condemn you, or are after to find what’s wrong with you. If this is in your way of thinking, you will not be at peace or at rest, and you will not know God well or your self.
I know about so many people who are stressed out, and most of them because they don’t truly know who they are. They believe if they go to this school or seminar I will find it out. or if I just take this or that personality test, I will get to know it and get peace with myself. You might find some ease for a time, but it is never enough. Because we also often see that they fall back into bad habits, that they believe are them, and they don’t like their bad side of them selves. If it’s true (which it’s not) that we have a bad nature, nobody would be able to like that nature.
I have good news for you! You don’t find yourself by a personality test or a seminar or even another bible school, but knowing your creator, and know that he created you perfectly, and the only things God wants is for you find that out. He is not focused on your bad habits, taught or actions, but that you are truly his son or daughter, and He truly cares for you.
That’s why we still can trust him in bad circumstances, in sickness, problems, stress and even in who we truly are.
Psalms 46:1-3
1 God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear,
Even though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 Though its waters roar and be troubled,
Though the mountains shake with its swelling.
Isaiah 26:3
3 You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
