There are three tings that are closely connected, and effects the way we relate to our selves to God and others, and the way we can reach out to a broken, fearful, depressed and sinful world.
It is also Important for your mental and physical healing.

Your picture of God – How do you see God and how do you think he sees you?
Your picture of yourself – Your picture of your creator, the way you think he looks at you, reflects also how you look at yourselves.
Your picture of other people. – The way you think God is towards you, the same way you will think he is to other people. Like: If you think God is constantly angry at you, you will get angry at other people, and your self the same way.

This is my notes on this teaching.

Remember it is not a full written teaching, just notes. See the video over for the full teaching and to get the whole picture of what I am teaching.

2 Corinthians 5:14-21
14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; 15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is,
19 that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.
21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Your Picture of God
How do you think God looks at you?
What does he demands of you, or wants from you?

I was a frustrated Christian for many years and I was sick.

Does God keeps a record of wrong. (1Kor 13)  (Salme 103)

Do we have to love God before he can accept and love us back?
John 13:34
I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. As I have loved you, you should also love one another.

What was the old commandment? It was: Love your God with all your heart and soul etc.

1 John 4:10
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

1 John 4:19
We love Him because He first loved us.

It is the same way with forgiveness: In the same way God trough Jesus already forgave us all our sins, forgive each other.

Ephesians 4:32
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

I thought that God wanted me to keep the sermon of the mount as good as I could, but that just frustrates me, because it was impossible.

The law tells you all things needs to start with you, grace tells you it’s starts with him.

To love God starts with God loving us first.

  • Law: you need to love God first
  • Grace: God loved you first, love each other.
  • Law: You need to forgive before you can be forgiven.
  • Grace: You are forgiven, in same way forgive each other.

The picture we have of our selves.

What will it say that we are a new creation?

How did God create us in the beginning?

What will it say that we are the children of God?

God wants to restore your soul, not fix it.

God dose not want to repair you soul, but to restore it.

Psalms 23:3
He restores my soul;

Most problems in life comes because we don’t truly know who we are.
Most sins we do, we do because we don’t know who we truly are.
Most fears that we have, we have because we don’t know who we truly are.

Often we can have a fear of or selves. We might believe that we are our actions and behaviours, and we are afraid of that.
When you have this fear it can lead to self hate, jealousy, self pity, pride, anger, gossip, disunity etc.

I struggled with a sickness for over 10 years.
I was thinking if I only can get God to love me, if I just do everything perfect.

Jesus lives in us, we have become one with Him, now God is saying to us the same as he said about Jesus:

Matthew 3:17
And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

How do you look at others?

Given us the ministry of reconciliation.

We don’t look at each other outwardly or by our action.
We can also know that their actions is not who they truly are. We can start to see each other trough eyes of God, and he sees us the way he created us, and as sons and daughters of him.
