There are three tings that are closely connected, and effects the way we relate to our selves to God and others, and the way we can reach out to a broken, fearful, depressed and sinful world. It is also Important for your mental and physical healing.
Your picture of God – How do you see God and how do you think he sees you? Your picture of yourself – Your picture of your creator, the way you think he looks at you, reflects also how you look at yourselves. Your picture of other people. – The way you think God is towards you, the same way you will think he is to other people. Like: If you think God is constantly angry at you, you will get angry at other people, and your self the same way.
Many Christians fear that they have not been forgiven by God because they have not yet been able to fully forgive others. They want to forgive, but they still have negative feelings towards those who have hurt them.
They can easily be condemned by what Jesus is saying in Matthew 18:35, that if we do not forgive our neighbor with our heart, God will not forgive us, but reject us and punish us, which makes us have the fear that God has not forgiven us. I often skipped this scripture and was afraid of it myself, I wished it was not there because I feared that I had not forgiven all who have hurt me perfectly, but now I have seen something I want to show you, and I will give you an answer to why Jesus said what he said.
In this encouragement/speech, I want to talk about that God can do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask for or imagine. (Eph 3:20) I have seen this in my own life, even last week. I also have a testimony in this speech from my own life.
I also will say an encouragement about God’s power that lives in you and that he can and wants to use you to set other people free too!
Is God behind hurricanes and natural disasters, or negative things that happens? Does God judge people and nations today because of sin? This is quite a hot topic and I have heard some Christian say, as an evangelist quite recently, that God sends hurricanes for punishments for sin today, even nations (this would also indirectly say that God punishes you for every sin your do, even today).
But what about what Jesus did on the cross? And what about John 3:16 and 17? What about Jesus that Jesus has forgiven all sin, for all, once and for all?
I think some mix law and grace, and the old covenant and with the new one. What did Jesus say about this? See or listen to this week’s encouragement!
